International Early Year Curriculum
Toddlers want to participate fully in their society. They want to challenge themselves and perform important, meaningful activities. This desire is especially strong as a child begins to master the balance, coordination, and reasoning skills needed to participate in real work. During this stage in their lives, their experiences construct the basis for their personality and lay the foundation for the adult they will become.
Your child’s first experience of a learning environment is poignant to say the least. Expanding your child’s social life to include other grown up’s, other children and the introduction of a “teacher” are all the first steps to developing your child’s brain and social awareness.
The first 7 years of life children operate at genius levels. This early years period is when brain connections are made and self esteem, confidence, personality and emotions are borne. Spaces where children can perform functions like: pouring, stacking, pointing, gesturing, copying, pushing, pulling, page turning, building, choosing and identifying things are all actions your toddler loves doing.
Water, mud, clay, play dough, sand, foam, textiles, wood, movement and sound.
All things your toddler can benefit from. Sensory play is an extremely vital aspect of human learning. Touch, taste, smell and vision and sound can all be investigated, practised and
Culminating 17 years of experience with early learning we have created a toddler heaven where all these things, and more, can be practised.
